Hi! I’m Sammy, a 24-year-old currently based in DC, working at the intersection of clinical research, AI, and health policy. I’ve spent the last couple of years exploring the different ways my technical skillset could be used to uncover and develop solutions to the pressing issues in healthcare and research. I’m excited to continue doing so as an incoming medical school student at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine.

Right now, I’m a biotechnology regulatory fellow at the National Academies drafting policy guidance for emerging cell and gene therapies. My work involves consulting with the FDA, NIH, industry, and Congressional leaders to better prepare and support the future of these technologies. I’ve also been building my startup, Bond Health for the past year. We have built proprietary LLMs that automate and support academic institutions and pharmaceutical companies in recruiting patients end-to-end. With $1.5M in funding, we are running pilots with several clinics to enable more enhanced research operations.

In regards to my training, I completed my Master’s in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard Medical School in 2025. While in Boston, I conducted computational research across Mass General Hospital, MIT, and Harvard Law School all focused on uncovering, addressing, and preventing inequities in healthcare. Before that, I studied Biology, Data Science, and Linguistics at Northwestern University as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME).

Outside of work, you can find me biking along the water, photographing my friends, playing NYT games, bouldering to RNB music, or propagating my pothos. Please feel free to email me any good overnight oats recipes you know of.
